In accordance with MH-OSTAs vision and mission statement, as a board member, looking forward my vision is to look for ways to continue to enhance and expand MH-OSTAs scope to serve all Oregon Manufactured Housing Communities. This could look like: • Involving community partners in a variety of ways. • Providing services to allow seniors to age in place by providing funding for repairs and modifications to their homes. • Providing educational materials and services for homeowners to become better informed as to landlord / tenant rights and responsibilities. • Providing translation services to homeowners who speak other than English as their first language to allow them to fully understand rental contracts, statutes, rights and responsibilities. • Creating a network of service providers to aid and assist in a variety of ways to ensure that manufactured home owners can protect and enhance the security, affordability and quality of their housing choice.
